Peykani: The annual production of 30 million tons of steel in the country requires 250 thousand tons of ferroalloys, including ferromanganese and ferrosilicon manganese, of which about 100 thousand tons are produced in the current conditions and the rest needs to be imported, which is mainly supplied from foreign sources.
“Arman Trading Saba” is trying to meet part of the country’s 140,000 tons of import needs through domestic production, therefore by building a production unit called “Alvand Ferroalloy” it hopes to achieve an annual production of 40,000 tons of ferrosilicon manganese by the summer of next year. .
Last year, this company imported 10,000 tons of high-carbon ferromanganese and the same amount of graphite and provided them to consumers directly from the country’s import sources.

Peykani: One of the existing problems is the change in the basis of customs duties from 4,200 Toman dollars to dollars with a free rate, which has led to a reduction in the power of activists in this field. Considering that the goods entered the country with 4,200 Tomans dollars in the first months of the year and were sold, calculating with free dollars after months and demanding the difference will cause heavy losses to such companies.
